Milwaukee's Newest Artisans

Empowering Women....One Basket at a Time

Local refugee women from the Democratic Republic of the Congo have been upcycling plastic bags and using them to create beautifully designed handmade baskets and mats. They are very proud to share their work with you as this is one of their ways of contributing back to a community that has been so welcoming to them.

Their items are for sale at various markets and craft fairs throughout the year . All the proceeds go directly to the artisan. Every single penny!

If you are interested in supporting these women and purchasing one of their products, please send us an email via our contact page or come visit us at one of the local markets!

If you are interested in further supporting this mission, we are looking for sponsorship which will enable us to participate in more craft fairs and farmers markets throughout the Milwaukee area.
